Unit Reflection

   In this unit, I learn about some different kind of the pop culture. Pop culture is made up with objects, people, events and place. Also, pop culture includes the beliefs, behaviors, values and thoughts. In the class, I did some projects and research about the pop culture. I research about 2011 to 2013 the pop star and what makes a star. And I did the star presentation and researched about the 50s movies and TV shows of the group presentation. I will do my best on the class.

      In this unit, I learn a lot different kind of culture. I learned about the iceberg. It include three parts: formal, informal and technical culture. Also, we learned about the culture shock. Culture shock means when you come to a new place and new culture, local people doing and thinking are differently from your own culture, you will feel culture shock. On the other hand, l learn to do some projects about pop culture, like poster and blogger. In my poster, I introduced my own culture to my classmates and learned some different cultures form them. In the book, I read “Define American” and “Home at List”, and did some worksheets. In this class, I had learned something that I never knew before, like I did not know that culture has include beliefs, behaviors, values, thoughts… I’m not really understand all of it, but I will try to work hard on it.
